- 1993: Harry Potter receives a singing love letter from Ginny Weasley, although she never revealed her identity. Later, he looks at a memory of a sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle through his old school diary.
- 1996: Harry Potter and Cho Chang have their first date, at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop in Hogsmeade. After Harry tells her that he has to go see Hermione Granger, Cho leaves out of jealousy. Harry then gives an interview Hermione arranged with Rita Skeeter about the night Lord Voldemort returned, which is subsequently printed in The Quibbler.
